Launch of Painting Contest for Vietnamese and Foreign Children

The contest has been jointly arranged by Hanoi’s Department of Culture and Sports and the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organisations with the aim of educating children’s love for peace, promoting the beauty of Hanoi, and arousing children’s passion for painting.

The contest is open to both Vietnamese and foreign teenagers and children from six to 15 years old who are living and studying in Hanoi.

Contestants can draw pictures showcasing local culture, life, or nature; as well as the fight against environmental pollution, poverty, and epidemics.
Paintings can be drawn with optional colours such as watercolours, wax, powder colours, oil paintings, markers, and crayons.

The organisers will receive profiles of entrants between September 15 and 20.

A painting contest will be held at the pedestrian street around Hoan Kiem (Returned Sword) lake on October 10, with contestants drawing for 90 minutes.
