Lo Lo Chai – An Exquisite Village in the North

Only one kilometer from Lung Cu Flag Tower, Lo Lo Chai village is located at the base of Dragon Mountain, Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province. The village offers some wonderful sightseeing, unique culture, and a wonderful culinary experience. In the middle of the Northern region, this village is the home of the Lo Lo ethnic minority with the peaceful, rustic, and lovely view of the earthen houses and peach trees. Young individuals in traditional attire captivate foreigners’ attention in Hanoi

The event, organized by young enthusiasts of Vietnamese traditional costumes, showcased various traditional garments including nhat binh (square-collared garb), ngu than (a five-paneled aristocratic gown from the 19th and early-20th centuries), and ao dai (Vietnam’s traditional long gown), among others, as well as traditional hats. Foreign tourists were impressed by young people dressed in unique and colorful traditional outfits. Many of them used their smartphones or cameras to capture the essence of the event, which was filled with Vietnamese culture. Nguyen Nga, a member of the organizing board, explained that the aim of the event was to promote Vietnamese traditional costumes to the public. Hanoi’s expo honors Vietnam’s natural heritage values

An exhibition themed “Green Heritage Tourism Culture Week – A place of encounter for people and nature” to take place later this month will promote Vietnam’s natural heritage recognized by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).  The event to take place in Hanoi between November 21 and 25, which also celebrates Vietnam Heritage Day [November 23], is aimed to honor Vietnam’s natural heritage and help localities to exchange experiences in preserving the value of natural heritage. The exhibition contributes to highlighting the country’s natural heritage and increasing the community’s awareness and responsibility in conserving biodiversity and the natural environment, reducing the adverse impacts of climate change. Brazilian films to be screened in Ho Chi Minh City

A total of five outstanding Brazilian movies, including “O Roubo da Taça”, “Uma História de Amor e Fúria”, “Trinta”, “Nise – O Coração da Loucura”, and “Colegas” will be screened free of charge at the Institute of Cultural Exchange with France (IDECAF). Through this event the Embassy of Brazil in Vietnam is keen to introduce a range of unique aspects and characteristics of Brazilian culture to enthusiastic local viewers. According to details given by the Embassy, all of the movies will be shown in their original language, whilst also featuring Vietnamese subtitles for the viewing pleasure of the general public.  A Brazilian Film Week was previously held in Hanoi in May, drawing plenty of attention from local people. Concert promoting peace to debut in Vietnam

According to a VNOB representative, the world has experienced many difficulties and pain due to epidemics and disasters, so “peace” has become even more precious and the theatre wanted to organise the concerts to look forward to a better future. “A mass for peace” is a work by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins. The piece was released in 2000 and has been performed by orchestras and choirs around the world but has never been staged in Vietnam. The work opens with the sound of a solemn marching drum, followed by sad and tragic melodies about the sacrifice and loss of the victims of disasters. It ends with the sound of new beginnings and aspirations for peace for people all over the world. This is Chinh’s first official visit to Cambodia as Prime Minister of Vietnam, and it is also the first visit of a key Vietnamese leader to Cambodia during the Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Year 2022.
