Da Nang to Launch Vietnam-Japan Festival 2023

The four-day event is a collaboration between the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang. In his opening speech, Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh of the municipal People’s Committee highlighted the ongoing development of cooperation between Da Nang and Japanese localities, which has become a prominent aspect of the extensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Da Nang has established friendly and cooperative relations with four cities in Japan – Kawasaki, Sakai, Yokohama, and Kisarazu – as part of its cooperation with 20 Japanese localities. Vietnamese Paintings with Traditional Materials Displayed in France

An exhibition showcasing 50 traditional artworks made by alumni of fine arts universities in France and Vietnam is currently on display. The artworks, created on traditional materials such as poonah paper, silk, wood, and lacquer, aim to highlight diverse aspects of daily life and religious beliefs in both countries. Nghiem Xuan Dong, director of the Vietnam Culture Centre in France, expressed that this exhibition offers a valuable opportunity for international friends to gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture. The event is part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic ties (1973-2023) and the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership (2013-2023). The French Club in Saigon Cycling to Share Kindness and Joy

Our club is comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups, united by a common goal to inspire others through the power of positivity and kindness. Exploring Saigon In June, members of the Sai Gon French Club gathered at a bikeshare station in Tao Dan Park, located in District 1. By 8:15 am, the participants were engaged in introductions and reviewing the itinerary for their 27-kilometer bike ride. The ride includes stops at significant landmarks like the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, the Quang Trieu Club House, a fruit festival in District 8, and several iconic bridges throughout the city. Club members have embarked on over 30 bicycle trips together, exploring Ho Chi Minh City and nearby provinces including Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Long An. Da Lat to RoK Launches Visa-Free Touring Opportunity

Vietnamese Wins Gold at 2023 Asia Arts Festival

Le Thi Tuyet Anh, Pham Thuy Linh, and Nguyen Thi Yen Linh, students of the Vietnam National Academy of Music (VNAM), formed a musical trio. The Asia Arts Festival (AAF), first launched in 2013, has established itself as a prestigious platform for musicians and dancers of all genres to showcase their talents before a distinguished panel of judges. Over 2,600 participants from more than 20 countries, including Russia, Germany, Scotland, and New Zealand, have participated in the AAF, fostering lifelong friendships and enjoying the festivities. Each participant is awarded a trophy and certificate. The 10th edition of the AAF was held in Singapore from July 10 to July 14, attracting participants from 24 countries and territories. Vietnam has previously sent contestants to the festival who have won gold prizes, such as the teen band Soul Club of Ho Chi Minh City in 2016 and singer Thuy Van in 2022. Vietnam-Japan Diplomacy Marked with Magnificent LED Light Show Celebrating 50 Years

The light display at Bien Dong Park in Da Nang, Vietnam, features three scenes inspired by the iconic flowers of both Vietnam and Japan – lotus and sakura (cherry blossom), respectively. The display consists of 500,000 LED lights, symbolizing the 50 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries. Ngo Thi Kim Yen, deputy head of the Da Nang municipal administration, expressed that this light display, coinciding with the Vietnam-Japan festival opening on July 13, symbolizes a bright future for both countries and offers a unique experience for both locals and tourists.
